The Mixed Media Plunge.....

I did it.  I'm hooked.  There's no going back.

Christy Tomlinson is one of my favorite artists.....as I've marveled at her work and hmm'd and hawed about taking her online "She Art" course, I've fallen victim to both limited time and confidence.

I'm not quite sure what it was that pushed me back over to the edge, but I took the plunge! 

This is my first mixed media canvas--created with a bunch of supplies--paint, gesso, papers, modge podge, book sheets, stencils and stamps.

I made it for a dear friend--who is likely the one, without knowing, who pushed me to the edge.  Challenging me routinely, also perhaps without always knowing, to examine who I am and who I want to be. 

The girl images and sentiment are all from Unity Stamp Co--another favorite place of mine.  Great stamps, great prices and excellent customer service!  I could bore you with the details.....OR, you could just trust that I know what I'm talkin' about ;)
