Way back in May I won this wonderful stamp set from Our Craft Lounge. I was lucky enough to be able to pick from any of their wonderful goodies and chose this to challenge myself. I thought today might be a good day to ink 'er up.
This set, called Coastal Wishes, is very sketchy--not my typical choice. However, the images are beautiful and masculine at the same time.
For this reason, I chose to "man up" this card a bit when following the OCL DT Sketch challenge #24. The original sketch shows the final project with ribbon--I supplemented the buttons instead. While I realize buttons aren't really a "guy" thing, I think they lend texture and dimension in a much more rugged way than even twine or twill would have.
I'm using TJ technique, Whisped Frames to highlight my main image. This lighthouse reminds me of Door County and our frequent trips through that beautiful landscape. No longer living on the lakeshore, we haven't been for years and I sure do miss it!
There's still plenty-o time for you to play along with this challenge. You can find out all the details here or by clicking on the OCL link in my sidebar under "Challenge Yourself."
TTFN, Jane
