Good Thursday Morning!! We are now half way into our first week of school and all reports are positive!! I think we'll make it :)
This morning, I'm sharing a card I made for the Three Clovers Designs Thursday Challenge. This was the card I sent to Sophie's teacher on the first day of school.
I've owned the Elementary Essentials set from Stampin' Up! for years, but have never used it until now. Isn't it a cute set? I have so many ideas for it now that I finally played with it a bit.
The challenge for this week was to use Primary colors. It's hard to tell, but the card base and background both use More Mustard--which is as close to yellow as I can come. I'm not a big fan of sunshine yellow as a rule--it's very hard for me to incorporate it into my art.
Speaking of the background piece, I used the Cuttlebug Smoosh technique as featured in the TJNL. This particular folder is perfect for school related stuff...no?
Now....I already mentioned that I sent this to Sophie's teacher with a little note on the first day. I did have to make a choice, however, because I had thought about sending this card instead:
LOL!!!
I probably could have sent this to a variety of peeps this week ;)
(Pig and Sentiment both from Hambo--check 'em out!)
I'm off--have a great day and........
Don't make me get my voodoo doll!
TTFN, Jane
Awesome cards, I love the voodoo one!
