Okay....I know 5 below zero and a wind chill advisory doesn't really make a person yearn for icecream, BUT when I saw MJ's sketch for today's challenge, this card popped into my head right away!
MJ's sketch + SU!'s Always DP + Hambo Stamps = YUMMY!!!
You can find the Hambo stamps I've used here and here. As you can see, the verse is actually a Halloween sentiment--I've simply omitted the Halloween part of the verse to complete my card and get some extra life out of one of my favorites!!
For the icecream cone, I've stamped it once on the Regal Rose square and again on pieces of Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie scrap--layering the stamp's components rather than coloring an image stamped on white cardstock adds some texture and dimension to this card--notice, few embellishments?
I sometimes like to challenge myself to create a card without lumpy...I tend to fall into rutts--must use ribbon....must have glitter......must....LOL! I did add some bling to random polka dots in the background paper---I couldn't resist! OH! And, I blinged up the icecream with some Stickles....okay, so must use bling.....but I stayed away from the ribbons....challenge over!
That's all for me today.....come back again real soon!
TTFN, Jane
Very cute! I know what you mean by ruts. I am always stuck in one myself, lol. Love this card, thanks so much for playing along.
