We've had many an "Ice Day" here in my neck of the woods. Today the temperatures have been well below zero all day--I spent a good part of the weekend hunkered down with my family stamping, surfing, and baking Christmas goodies. The kids are soooo psyched for our holiday celebrations--we'll be traveling to see both sets of grandparents this year!
Here is the sketch from MJ's files. I really like this one because it forced me out of the A2 box. I rarely make cards other than A2 size, but often think I should play around a bit more.
My card features stamps all by Hambo . I love those little penguin guys. They are so playful. Goofing around with them makes me smile every time!
I stamped my five little penguin friends (and their cubes) and then masked them all before stamping the skyline. Next, I brayered Soft Sky ink over the entire piece. It got a little smudgy (yes, its a word!) because I used a masking product called Magic Mask (it's a thin plastic with cling on one side) vs using a post it note like I usually do. I wanted to create masks I could use repeatedly and sort of forgot about the smudge factor. I think I may just stick to the post-its.
Papers/colors are Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss. The polka dot designer paper is from the Pacific Point DSP. And, I've broke the ribbon shunning and opted for the luscious kiwi satin ribbon. I think this is my favorite ribbon of all time---it's so rich!
That's all for me--lots of fun things to do---baking and gifting and baking....you get the idea.
Have a great day!
TTFN, Jane
