Today's Blogger's Challenge combines the colors: Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa. You wouldn't think of these as Christmas colors, but I think they do just fine!
This last month, I've made many non-traditional Christmas cards in support of the TJ Holiday Blogstravaganza. This one features the Aged Tiles technique. I think it's a very elegant looking card, in real life--despite the unusual color scheme.
All stamped images are from the Stampin' Up! set, Christ is Born. I've also used some Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon. This is the most luxurious ribbon I think SU! carries. I wish they would offer it in many different colors! (Spoken like a true junkie!)
While I know it is a busy time of year, I'm issuing a challenge with purpose! Focus yourself on the Season sometime this weekend and create a card that illustrates what the Holidays mean to you. One card, one hour away from the hustle---one hour for yourself. Don't over think it---if you have little kids, like me, maybe you make a cutesy Santa card. If you aren't religious, don't sweat it--Snowmen are cool!
TO WIN YOUR OWN COPY OF THE #6 TJNL CD (and a bunch of other goodies...) Leave a comment linking to your card or email me a copy of it and I will post it here. I'll choose a winner sometime next week!
I have a few sick wee ones today, so I'm off. (Don't worry Granny, nothing serious...just some seasonal ickies)
TTFN, Jane
Beautiful Jane...such love background you have created for your tiled sentiment. Awesome job with the challenge.
