Thinking of You--Just For Fun

Happy Friday!!

Today, I have a cased card to share!  I love using my Stampin' Up! catalog for layout and color ideas.  This card composition comes straight from the current Idea book, but uses stamps from Just For Fun stamps.

Lots of stuff going on--from the cutout birdcage image to the extra texture added by the hemp string.  I also embossed and partially inked the background piece with a polka dot embossing folder.  Rounded corners, embossed scallop accent--YUM!!

V-Day...Come and Gone.....

I've mentioned the Valentine competition here before......each year, the Hubster creates these awesome valentines for each of us.  He totally swipes images from the internet, but his cards are awesome and loved the best.  Truthfully, I don't really compete, but in my head IF it were a true competition, I'd win for design every time!

Here's the card I crafted for the Hubster!  LOL!!!  The image is a brand new Humourous Senior from I Brake For Stamps.  Her name in Stressed Estelle.  I must admit, I have a hard time seeing her as an Estelle--I've only met one Estelle in my real life and she is sooooo FAR from this image.  I have a hard time wrapping my head on the name.  Nevertheless, you HAVE to see the whole sheet to get the whole LOL!!

Faux This and a Real Call....

Howww....Deeeee!  Happy Wednesday! 

Today, I have a cute little dressy number!  This is my favorite "fashion" image from I Brake For Stamps. I just love how the dress flows....

My card was completed using two TJ techniques:  Faux Washi (August 2011) and Out of the Box (October 2004)--An oldie, but a goodie!

I Brake For Love

Love is in the air over at the I Brake For Challenges blog!!!  Check it out!

I created these cute little cards using the Frog Prince digital image from I Brake For Stamps.  Actually, my crafty girl, Sophia, selected this image for her class Valentine's this year.  Using a digital image is the perfect idea for a project like this!  First, I work out the details--sizing the image for the final project.  Then print the images on a sheet.  Next, she'll color and assemble the cards for her friends with her own personal style.  She loves it.  I love the homemade (of course)--always hate buying those boxes of premade valentines :(

The side of each card, holds a little wand full of bubbles that we found at Target.  They are so cute!  The girly ones have hearts and flowers on the top; the boys have shapes (red and pink vs green and blue).
