It time for another Try That Technique challenge over on the Technique Junkie Designer's blog.  This is a great challenge and I hope you'll play along :)

My project today is a 6 x 6 scrapbook page that features stamps from I Brake For Stamps, Impression Obsession and Stampin' Up! 

It's hard to believe this picture is almost five years old!!  The hubster and I were celebrating our ten year anniversary at our favorite Italian restaurant---man, time flies!!

3D Fun

Today, I'm sharing a cute little project from the 3D and Fun Folds CD!  It's a Top Note Box.  The perfect way to give a small gift or candy that says...."HEY! I'm crafty"  LOL!!

Fun Folds and Roses....

I'm sharing a project today from the new 3D and Fun Folds CD--check out my sidebar to get your own copy!!

This is a great project that can be as simple or as complicated as you would like it to be!  On my project, I wanted to keep the focus on the gorgeous sentiment and rose.  Both of which can be found at I Brake For Stamps!

I'm in the final steps of preparation for my fun trip to visit, play and work with the one and only, Pat Huntoon so, my words will be few.  If you are in the Long Island area the weekend of Nov 5 & 6, stop on over at the Greater New York stamp show to say hi!  Pat and I will both be teaching classes (you can see more info here) and would love to have you join us!

Class Number Two--Greater New York Stamp Show!

This is the second class I'll be teaching in November at the Greater New York Stamp Show--I'm super pumped about this one also--it's such a unique project!

It's also a bit of a sneaker peaker from the upcoming Technique Junkie 3D and Fun Folds Paper Craft CD!!  You can order your very own copy today!!  Just visit my side bar and follow the link!  Easy Peasy!  Lots of great stuff on this CD peeps!! 

This little number houses a gift card and is sure to wow! the receiver.  I've made a few of these and showed them off....(mostly to teen agers--who think they are amazing!)

When you remove the cover, the sides flop down and reveal the gift card holder--cool?

The image, from I Brake For Stamps, completes the Rock N Roll feel of the project.  I'll put an iTunes card in it before I give it away--it's the perfect gift for any number of my kiddo's friends!

Distressing....Try That!

So, I'm a little (a lot) behind and, yes, it's a bit distressing......LOL!!  I'll make no excuses (this time) because that is just life sometimes!!

I did, however, make a sweet little sample for last week's Try That Technique over on the TJ Designer's Blog.  We are using the Distressed Windows technique from the most recent edition.  This is a great technique and really up my shabby chic alley!  I hope you try it :)

My main image and sentiment come from a wonderful set at Sweet N Sassy Stamps.  The background images are from Impression Obsession and Stampin' Up!

Belli Challenge #128

Today, I'm a guest designer for the Belli Challenge! If you've never heard of this awesome blog, the spirit of this challenge blog is to encourage the use of old or forgotten embellishments. Who doesn't have a pile of that stuff laying around?

Belli Challenge #128 is Flower Soft, felt or chunky glitter. The perfect opportunity for the Soft and Sparkly tutorial from Technique Junkie Newsletter (August 2010). I sure hope you can see the sparkly detail of this great technique!

Excitement....

Every day, little things excite me.....the kids don't fight for 15 minutes, a friend stops by for a visit, my morning cup of jo.....it's the little things.  Big things have excited me....getting married, having babies, my high school reunion....(MAN! was that a blast!)  I haven't had one of those BIG ones in a while...until now and boy it sure is a doozer in my book! 

The first weekend of November, I'll be flying to the East Coast for a week of stamping and friendy fun!  I'll be teaching the project you see here at the Stampsmith's Greater New York Stamp Show....good gravy, I am stoked!!

This Easel Card Box from the Fancy Folds and Motion CD features images from the Stampsmith's Wizard of Oz plate.  In addition to learning the Easel Card Box technique, this project also features the Color Dusting technqiue from the August 2003 edition of the TJNL. 

The Wizard of Oz plate from Stampsmith is waayy too adorable to only use one image from so, I also incorporated four note cards into the class.

They are simple, but are a great chance to see the amazing detail in this set!

Embossed Cuts

Happy Monday!

A few weeks ago, I went through all of my TJNL's and made a list of techniques to try.  This is one of the many I thought was interesting, but couldn't recall doing.  It's called Embossed Cuts and can be found in the June 2004 edition.

My stamps are all from I Brake For Stamps and can be found here (gecko) and here (grunge backgrounds).

It's a fun technique and a great way to ease into the week ;)

Wee Stamps + Girl Power = IBFC Love

Oh, happy day!!!  I'm grinning ear to ear today with a great reason!  I Brake For Stamps has just released some extraordinary stamps by Syliva Zet!  Sylvia is a children's illustrator with a great deal of talent!  IBFS is just one of a very few retailers carrying these great images--AND, to make it even better, you can SAVE on them all using my code:  SAVE10JANE!!!

Need some convincing?  My fellow IBFS Designer's and I are using the Wee Stamps for our inspiration this week!  We've just kicked off a new challenge on the I Brake For Challenges blog.  In honor of women everywhere, we are raising our craftiness in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.  The challenge theme:  Girl Power!

My card features the image Wee Suzi--I find her adorable--she reminds me of my wee-est one, CoCo!

She's copic colored--so fun with this image!  And, I've focused my layout on a brand new Technique Junkie Newsletter technique.  You'll find this one in the most recent edition, October 2011.  It's called Stacked Nesties.
