Certain Victory--TJ Try That Technique Thursday

It's time for a little Stampbooking inspiration!  This week the TJ Try That Technique Challenge is Glimmer Masked Backgrounds from the TJNL Stampbooking CD.

I created this page for a friend.  That's her Pop and he could use your prayers while he fights a good fight.

After creating the background with the Glimmer Masked technique, I added the title with stamps from Stampin Up! and then, stitched "Victory" to give the whole page some extra texture.  I'm also using the Stitched Circle Embellishments tutorial--you'll find it on the Stampbooking CD too!  The verse in the interior is from Our Daily Bread.

They Say It's Your Birthday.....

It's a Happy Birthday month around my house!!  Yesterday, we celebrated the Hubster...today, it's my sister and tomorrow, my beautiful niece!

That's why this week, it's also a birthday theme over at the I Brake For Challenges Blog!!   Join in, Join in!  Everyone likes a party!

My card features another of the precious Sarah's Girls images.  I colored her with Copic markers and then added some Crystal Effects to the balloon--looks really cool IRL!

An Inspired Challenge--IBFCC3

It's week number three for the I Brake For Challenges Challenge!  This week, this little thing inspires us all:

Isn't she looking sweet and girly in her pretty dress.......with her gigantic pirate tatoo????  Nothing says delicate like lady bugs and ginormous arm swords! LOL!

You'll want to be checking out all of the inspiration over at I Brake For Challenges.  Regan and Holly both had awesome projects to share!

I wanted to try my hand at a Clean and Simple type card.  Here is what I came up with:

It's a bit hard to get the full flavor of the card--the base is white cardstock--because of the scan.

The image, from I Brake For Stamps, however is so cute, I'm sure you'll forgive me!

Gettin' All Technique-ie

My page features the Punched Out Borders Technique.  As soon as I found these cute little Imaginesce stamps (at Goodwill!) I knew I had to do this page!!!!  NO ONE lives louder than my little man!!!  Here he is just short of two years old being a guitar hero while his brother was at school!!

Try That Technique Challenge

Happy First Day of Summer Vacation.......when does school start again?  LOL!!  We barely made it out of the gate without a fiesty round of sibling squabbling!  I sense some toilet scrubbing in the near future.....LOL!!

I'm comin' at you this morning with the Technique Junkie Try That Technique Thursday Challenge.  Nancy Dawson has posted the rules and her art piece here, for you to enjoy!  Our technique this week is called, Giraffe and can be found in the April/May 2010 edition of the TJNL.

This is a quick and easy technique that's fun to do!  It was the perfect opportunity for me to pull out an older set from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.  I just love this little giraffe--it always feels like a baby card to me.

I Brake For Challenges---A NEW BLOG, and music!

So, my pal Holly and I were lovin' all over these adorable images from I Brake For Stamps.  They are called Sarah's Girls and I {heart} them so much!

Holly has been doing amazing things with girls herself so, I thought it would be fun for her and I to have a weekly challenge :)  And, since we ARE that kind of girls, we'll let you play along!  In fact, we'd love for you to play along!  So much that we (and by "we," I mean our fearless leader Della Bo Bella!) started our very own I BRAKE FOR CHALLENGES blog!!  Follow the link and then add your project using the linky tool.  When uploading to online galleries, please use IBFCC1 to tag your entry :)  You can read all about the "rules" over at I Brake For Challenges!

About my card, I stamped and masked iPod chic then stamped the "YES" background over it.  After Copic coloring the entire image piece, I cut it out using the Out of the Box technique (TJNL, October 2008).  I added some Crystal Effects to the black musical notes and some stickles in a variety of other colorful places :)

What do you think?  I think I best brace myself---School's out for summer........

Babies.....

I love them.....love, love, love!!!  It's the little talking machines they turn into I'm on the fence about!  LOL!!!

I had the wonderful honor and delight of sitting all day for our little baby neighbor, Ava.  What a sweet girl!  I didn't want to give her back!

A few months ago, when she was born, the kids and I put this little baby gift together!  The personalized apple bag is from Thirty One Gifts and the notebook is something I made :)

The image is one of the Peekers, called New Beginnings Peeker  found at SCACD.  Isn't it a precious image?  Fun to color too!!

It's going to be a scorcher here in God's Country today......sounds like the perfect day to wrap myself in some A/C and stamp :)
