Better late than never!! I'm finally finding a few moments to attend to my little blog! I've been horribley sporadic in posting and, as usual, aim to do better :)
My first share for the day is from last week's Blogger's Challenge--obviously, our theme was masculine cards.
This card is somewhat of an ecclectic experiment with a few before unused stamps, paper scraps, texture plates, some hardware and a technique or two.
In truthfullness, I started this card months ago and, not caring for it much, put it aside. The addition of the father's day sentiment (Our Craft Lounge) and hardware really pulled it together. It turned into a card I was happy to share with my hubba on Father's Day. The main image is from Cornish Heritage Farms and the Saturday Evening Post line.
My second "catch up" share is forMJ's Technostamper Monday Sketch Challenge.
I'm so going to miss my Baja Blue!
This is a total 5 minute card! I've been super busy with design work lately and just happened to have this set (Stampin Up!) on my desk. I was taking a bit of a break and decided to just look at MJ's sketch, sure I wouldn't have time to play. In the middle of pulling together a few projects for the TJNL, this card just made itself.
The stamp set, Forest Friends, is currently available in the SU! Occassions mini catalog, but will also be available all year in the new catalog. These images are sooo cute, but I must admit to struggling a bit with their smallness--I think I need to channel my buddy Dawn and remind myself to think Amuse!
Anyway, I am happy with this card--mostly because of the simplicity! The dotted line and sentiment are both rub-ons from my stash :)
That's all for me. I've just come home from a very intense baseball game--my kid rocked!!! I'm so proud of him and his team. We're on to the championship!! It's sooo exciting, but I'm totalled from the heat and the excitement.
TTFN, Jane
